Reunion
In celebration of one year on the air, RCS is presenting a special reunion show. Bringing back the performers who helped kick off our radio broadcast last November. This is what is in store so far, watch for more as time closes in.
Red Shoes & Rosin
is a female string trio whose repertoire is made up of old fiddle tunes, quaint
vocal harmonies, and fresh originals. Fresh off a successful Midwestern tour
that included stops in Chicago and St. Louis, Red Shoes and Rosin are poised for
a national breakout. Much like Cluster Pluck from last month their name has
exploded since we signed them back during the summer for this date. This is the
second trip for them to The River City Sessions, being our most requested band.
Peggy Douglas and Marcy - are appearing together for the first time as a duo time. Peggy’s poetry paints a picture of
life in and around Chattanooga during by gone days. She is joined by Patti on
stage whose music has a quality that defies time. Together they are sure to enliven memory, no matter its origin.
Pattee Wilbanks and Robert Lovett, playing under the name Mountain Creek House Fire will open our show. Together they have well over 45 years of music experience. Patti performs as half of the duo Blue John and has been playing around Chattanooga over 35 years. Robert by way of Nashville is a singer song writer who is sure to please!
Taylor Stein – Which Taylor Stein will show; the humorist or accomplished bassist, the solo artist or member of the band, the only way to find out for sure is to be there!
Michael Gray – Mike will be performing a spoken word piece, one of family and gathering from the collection, Promised Land. Recently finished and performed in
the mountains of NC, the source of inspiration.
