August 9th 7:30 at the Camp House
Musicians:
Carla Pemberton and The Valors I met Carl Pemberton at Bonnaroo while having a slice of Spicey Pie when I heard the people at the table across from me mention Chattanooga. We immediately fell into conversation and when I got home I had a link to Carl's work on Bandcamp in my in-box. I will let you decide for yourself who they remind me of, but suffice to say it was is rather succesfull keyboardest and vocalist from another era. Adding Kristin to the mix rounded out an already talented group. Check them out yourself!
Orchard Band The Orchard Band is an acoustic trio from Signal Mountain, Tennessee which has been performing for over 13 years. Their music can be described as Americana with a strong representation of the "singer-songwriter" era along with an increasing number of their own compositions. The Orchard Band consists of Alice Thatcher on vocals, Robert Thatcher on guitar, mandolin, harmonica and vocals and Paul Hendricks on guitar, banjo, keyboards and vocals. Robert and Alice are natives of the Chattanooga area and strongly influenced by the southern Appalachian folk and bluegrass music of this area. Paul was born in Florida and raised on the southern rock, blues and Latin rhythm music of his native state.Together they form an exciting blend of the best musical styles of the South.
